The development as proposed provides additional essential energy infrastructure in support of UK renewable energy generation and carbon reduction policies and targets nationally. The development proposes to support the national drive towards renewable energy with the UK’s commitment to an 80% reduction of greenhouse gas emissions (compared to 1990 levels) by 2050.
