Community Engagement
We work with residents, landowners, community groups and statutory consultees to understand local priorities. Where projects are approved and become operational, ESB Scotland will seek to support local initiatives through appropriate community benefit arrangements.
ESB Scotland aims to engage clearly and constructively with communities affected by its battery energy storage projects. Early engagement helps identify local concerns, improve project design and support practical community benefits.
Close relationships with communities allow us to invest directly in the areas where we operate, offering community funding initiatives.
As well as delivering long-term economic and environmental value we can also ensure that the community feels included, respected, and positively impacted by the presence of the development and our commitment to local projects.
“
…Community engagement should be practical, transparent and locally relevant…”
